Abstract | Offers some concepts that hold potential for reducing the frequency and intensity of the strained relationships that exist between supervisors and teachers. Introduces the school of thought in the social sciences known as "symbolic interactionism" and some of its principles as they may apply to the supervisor and gives some guidelines designed to enhance the teacher supervisor relationship.
